Experience
Biology has been my core tutoring subject for many years. I began working with high school students struggling in the subject when I was a senior in high school myself, and that helped instill a deep pride in helping others understand a difficult academic area. I now have a Bachelor of science in Biological Sciences and Health Professions from Pennsylvania State University, which includes a minor in psychology. I also plan to go back to school soon to pursue my lifelong dream of becoming a nurse practitioner. I've applied my love of biology while working in various hospitals in New York, where I shadowed physicians working in their private practice. I was also a research assistant in a clinical psychology laboratory. I know that not everyone naturally knows how to learn or study, but learning these skills is instead a matter of hard work and dedication. However, everyone should feel pride in their accomplishments, and that is something I aim for my students to experience. When I am not tutoring, I enjoy rooting for my alma mater's football team, working out, playing soccer, and reading books. I also like to travel and spend time relaxing at the beach.
